What should I expect during my appointment?

We will ask you a few general questions about your overall health and examine the inside of your mouth to check for red and white patches, as well as sores. Your dentist will also check your throat and neck area for lumps or abnormalities. Depending on the findings of the examination, you may be referred for a biopsy.

We are always keen to discuss any possible lifestyle changes that can be made, in order to lower patients’ chances of developing cancer. Whether it’s cutting down on alcohol, quitting smoking or altering your diet, we’re here to support and encourage you to make positive changes.
